Language Points
1. cook 作動(dòng)詞，意為“烹調(diào)；煮”
通常媽媽給我們做晚飯。
My mother usually cooks for us.
【拓展】作名詞, 意為“廚師”。
我叔叔是一位很棒的廚師。My uncle is a great cook.
2. study 作“學(xué)習(xí)”講時(shí)，是不及物動(dòng)詞。
他們正在為英語(yǔ)考試而學(xué)習(xí)。 They are studying for the English test.
3. How’s it going? 情況怎么樣？
How’s …? 句型在問(wèn)候語(yǔ)中用來(lái)詢問(wèn)對(duì)方的情況。
答語(yǔ)常為：Great. / Pretty good. /Not bad./ Just so-so. 等。
你的學(xué)習(xí)情況如何？
How’s it going with your study?
【拓展】 表達(dá)問(wèn)候還可以用 How are you? 進(jìn)行詢問(wèn)，答語(yǔ)常為“Fine, thank you.”。
這兩句話的重點(diǎn)不在于詢問(wèn)，而在于問(wèn)候或打招呼。
4. Sounds like you’re having a good time. 聽(tīng)起來(lái)你玩得好開(kāi)心。
這是一個(gè)省略句，相當(dāng)于 It sounds like you’re …。英語(yǔ)It sounds like …與It sounds …句型近似，都表示“聽(tīng)起來(lái)……；聽(tīng)上去……”。這種省略的用法十分口語(yǔ)化，在日常英語(yǔ)會(huì)話中經(jīng)常聽(tīng)到。例如：
(It) Sounds like he’s all right now.
聽(tīng)上去他現(xiàn)在病已經(jīng)好了。
(It) Sounds like you had a good time on your trip.
聽(tīng)起來(lái)你旅行玩得很開(kāi)心。
5. take a message 捎個(gè)信
我可以給她捎個(gè)信嗎？
Can I take a message for her?
6. No problem. 沒(méi)有問(wèn)題。
— 你會(huì)做風(fēng)箏嗎？ — 沒(méi)問(wèn)題。
— Can you make a kite?
— No problem.
